Philippine mini-starlet Charice Pempengco has been gaining praise from some pretty big people—Oprah, Ellen and songwriter/producer David Foster. And joining the praise parade is her singing idol, Celine Dion. Charice had the opportunity to join Celine onstage at her Madison Square Garden show this week.


Charice and Celine also did a special version of the infamous "My Heart Will Go On" on Oprah.

90210 Premieres with Some Hot Tracks

90210 will not only bring the hot and steamy to your TV on Sept. 2, but the new spin-off will be bring some great music. Like what Gossip Girl did with The Pierces, 90210 will be bringing Omaha's Tilly and The Wall, who'll be performing "Pot Kettle Black" from their recent album, O.

The show will also feature "Coming Home" by LA pop/rock band, The 88—a song that's been used in spots for Target and Sears.

90210 will premiere on The CW on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 8 p.m.

Oasis Will Play Terminal 5

If you love Oasis and live in the NYC area, then this is a show you just can't miss. Announced a few days ago (sorry a bit late on this one), Oasis will be playing an intimate show at Terminal 5 on Friday night (7 p.m.) at Sept. 12. This will be a chance to get a early preview of the band's new album, Dig Out Your Soul, out on Oct. 7.

Unlike other shows, you can't just run to Ticketmaster.com for tix. Instead you need to head over to Oasisnet.com and register for a chance to buy tickets. And you only have till Sept. 3 at noon to register. Hammond & Snoop Create New Clothing Lines

It looks like Snoop Dogg and Strokes-guitarist-turned-solo-act Albert Hammond Jr. are designing their own lines of clothing to help guys get closer to being sharp-dressed men. Hammond is going the classy route with the help of stylist Ilaria Urbinati and working on a line of suits. Set to initially be sold in LA (like Ubinati and actor/DJ Danny Masterson's store Confederacy), there will be three designs which will evolve each season. Meanwhile Snoop drops Rich & Famous this week in Vegas. Aimed at 18-35-year-old guys, there will be streetwear designs, accessories and grooming products. Check out his stuff here.

Most know him for manga, anime and limited edition Louis Vuitton purses, Takashi Murakami is considered an icon in the contemporary art work. And since this Japanese artist directed the artwork for Kanye's Graduation album as well as the art for the "Stronger" and "Can't Tell Me Nothing", he has also animated Kanye's new video for "Good Morning"—following a day in the life of an adorable bear rocking kicks and a varsity jacket. Even if you're not into the song, you can just enjoy the fun animation.

Britain's shining pop star Leona Lewis teamed up with Led Zepplin's Jimmy Page to rock "Whole Lotta Love" during Great Britain's presentation at the 2008 Olympic Games Closing Ceremonies. Unfortunately, there isn't any live footage, but give the collab a listen anyway.

The Veronicas 'Take Me to the Floor'

Aussie twins The Veronicas are back with a new single, "Take Me to the Floor" from their album, Hook Me Up, dropping in the U.S. on Aug. 26. The girls will be opening up for the Jonas Brothers (who used to open up for The Veronicas back in the day) starting Aug. 24. Check out the group's MySpace for dates.

DMB Sax Player Dies

Leroi Moore, saxophonist of the Dave Matthew Band, died yesterday because of complications from injuries he had after a all-terrain vehicle accident in June. Moore was 46.

Moore is known for being one of the founding members of the band, and front man Dave Matthews credited Moore for arranging many of the songs. Although he never really saw himself as a jazz performer, he gave DMB that jazzy feel. Our condolences are out to his loved ones.

Musicians Bring Magic to 'The House Bunny'

What do you get when you get an Idol alum, a Cheetah Girl and All-American Reject on a movie set? The House Bunny, of course. In this hilarious new movie, Playboy bunny Shelley (played by Anna Faris) becomes the house mother for a not-so-cool sorority. She makes over not only the girls but her own life. A fun take on girl-power and one to watch with your sisters, The House Bunny also brings in the talent of Idol's Katherine McPhee who plays Harmony (the free-spirited knocked up Zeta sister), Cheetah Girl Kiely Williams (the very shy and quiet Zeta) and All-American Rejects' frontman Tyson Ritter (the hot but goofy frat boy who's the object of Zeta sister Natalie's affection). The first female-driven comedy produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions, this film (out in theaters on Aug. 22) is a show definitely worth seeing.

Katherine McPhee, with help from the other Zetas, perform "I Know What Boys Like", the theme track to the movie. Here's the video for the track—catchy and download-worthy...

'Mama Mia!' Dances Its Way to the Top

Deny it all you want, but there's just something about musicals that just gets everyone hooked. And the ABBA-inspired Mama Mia! just proved it this week by taking the top spot of the Billboard 200. Second to Juno, which hit #1 in January, Mama Mia! is the second soundtrack to be on top this year. According to Billboard, the last time more than one soundtrack took #1 was in 1998 with Titanic, Armageddon and City of Angels.

ABBA may have never had an album break into the top 10 let alone land on the top spot, but I'm sure their proud their music somehow made it up there.

New Treats for Daughty's Reissued Debut

Daughtry's four-times platinum self-titled debut will be re-released in an expanded form on Sept. 9. The reissue will feature a DVD with music videos and live performances, acoustic versions of tracks like "Home" and a cover of Foreigner's "Feels Like the First Time." So if you're a big fan of the original rocking Idol, then be sure grab this album in the fall.
