2009 Oscars Reveal Beck's Bob Dylan Cover
If you managed to watch the Oscars till the end, you may have caught a glimpse of this year's new films. But did you hear Beck in the background? Covering Bob Dylan's "Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat," the rendition is part of the compilation, War Child Heros, out yesterday. If you're a Dylan purist, this may not be for you. But for everyone else, enjoy.

Charice: Pop Princess in Training?

Say Hello to Tinted Windows
What happens when you put the Smashing Pumpkins, Hanson, Cheap Trick and Fountains of Wayne together? Welcome Tinted Windows. Adam Schlesigner (Fountains of Wayne), James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Taylor Hanson (Hanson) and Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick) make up the new band. They've already booked shows at SXSW and will be performing at Bamboozle. And if that's not enough, Tinted Windows will be gracing our ears with an album set to release on April 21. "Kind of a Girl" will be the band's first single. Give it a a listen and tell me what you think.

White Stripes Return to the Stage
After some time away from the limelight or working on the other projects, the White Stripes are finally playing for the public once again. Jack and Meg have been confirmed to play Late Night with Conan O'Brien on Friday, Feb. 20. In 2003, they were Conan's house band for a week. Maybe they'll be able to do something along those lines again... or not.
