So on my hunt for the next great cover, I came across Virginia's own Brad Doggett. Now aside from being absolutely adorable, he's got an amazing voice and strumming skills to boot. So why not end this cover Wednesday marathon (in honor of New Year's Eve) with a rising YouTube star? You never know, you might end up seeing him on bigger screens (or stages) in '09.

Arianna Gives Beyonce a Run for Her Money
Fine, this isn't your typical cover. But little Miss Arianna is hitting every piece of choreography Beyonce throws down. So just this once, let's highlight covers of the dance. Besides she's too cute to ignore.
Alexandra Burke Woos Brits with 'Hallelujah'
Recent X Factor winner Alexandra Burke wowed audiences with her powerful cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and also smashes the singles chart formally held by fellow winner Leona Lewis and her version of "A Moment Like This." Now the question is will she follow in Leona's footsteps and make waves across the Atlantic as the "Bleeding Heart" songbird did? I guess time will tell. And as for Leona, she's got another hit on her hands topping the charts with yet another cover--Snow Patrol's "Run."

Merry Christmas with Martin
Boys Like Girls' frontman Martin Johnson started his own blog and spreads the Christmas cheer with an acoustic cover of "White Christmas."
And this lovely cover of "First Noel" he did with Brent Mulligan -- listen to these two high-pitched voices go.
Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope you open tons of presents, drink lots of hot cocoa or cider and sing loads of carols.

Demi Tells It Like It Is
In her new single, "La La Land," Disney breakout Demi Lovato mocks the typical over-the-top superstar ways of today's celebs and does it with some smart sass. And regardless of her squeaky-clean-Mickey-Mouse image, this girl has got one set of pipes and an edge all her own.

Fall Out Boy Spark Impromptu Sing-A-Long
Before the release of their new album, Folie Ă Deux, Fall Out Boy made a surprise appearance at Washington Square Park on Monday. Opposed the hordes of fans that cause such a ruckus, this performance seemed a bit more civil as you can see above.

Lily Puts Her Spin on 'Womanizer'
She's already added some girly flair to "Oh My God" by the Kaiser Chiefs, but Lily Allen has done it again with Britney's "Womanizer". A more acoustic sound and Lily's distinct British-laced voice, this version may not be the track that'll get you bumping in the club but still sounds pretty good.

Kanye's Love Letdown on SNL
As great as Kanye's musical evolution is, most of us were disappointed to see such poor performance on SNL last night. Perhaps he's performed it so much that he just couldn't hack it anymore, or maybe Kanye's got a cold. Either way, it's a great song but hopefully Kanye can get his vocal chords up to par again.

These may not be the freshest covers, but the Arctic Monkeys do a pretty good job on them.

JB Ring the Bells
Fine, this probably should've been posted earlier. Although Thanksgiving was about a week ago, the Jonas Brothers' PSA for the Salvation Army is still pretty relevant as well as a reminder that those red kettles and bells will be on every street corner. So consider yourself forewarned.
What does Lily Allen Fear?
Originally titled "I Don't Know," "The Fear" will be the first single off Lily Allen's sophomore effort, It's Not Me It's You out in Feb. 2009.
She also recently made some noise when she blasted society's obsession with celebrity culture and said "celebrity culture is very healthy for young people at all."
Maybe so, but it's probably one addiction many people may never seek out help for.
